Adjunct Faculty Openings

Adjunct, temporary, part-time, and hourly faculty are being recruited for a faculty pool in almost every area of instruction. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Please fill out the part-time teaching/counseling application form.

Salary: $40.41-$56.09 per hour commensurate with previous education and/or experience.

• Equivalency: Applicants applying under "equivalency" must provide detailed written documentation explaining how their academic preparation is equivalent to the degrees listed. • Other Requirements: Sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse socio-economic academic, cultural, ethnic and disability backgrounds of community college students. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the subject matter area. Use multiple methodologies in teaching, including computer technology. Maintain appropriate standards of professional student environment. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Areas of Special Need (these applications will be reviewed on an as received basis)

• Art History and Introduction to Art

  Master's in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in humanities OR the equivalent.

• Chemistry - Tehama Campus

  Master's in chemistry OR Bachelor's in chemistry or biochemistry AND Master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry OR the equivalent.

• Communication / Speech

  Master's in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English OR the equivalent.

• Human Biology - Tehama

  Master's in any biological science OR Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science OR the equivalent.

• Mathematics - Tehama

  Master's Degree in mathematics or applied mathematics; or a bachelor's degree in any of the above and a Master's Degree in statistics, physics, or mathematics education; or the equivalent

• Photography

  Master's in photography, fine arts, or art OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in art history or humanities OR the equivalent.

• Viticulture

  Master's in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agricultural science) OR the equivalent.

• Vet Tech

  The mininum qualifications for this discipline is a bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or an associate degree and six years of experience.
